Kent State: Flash of Genius or Flash in the Pan

Via the usual sources, the Kent State Golden Flashes have added circular lightning bolts around the center-circle at the Memorial Athletic and Convocation Center. Here's the previous court, without the bolts. And here's a prototype Kent State court tweeted by a design firm, which the university did not adopt.
